once upon a time…
Step inside, dear reader. The castle doors are open.
I'm an author who fell in love with fairy tales and animated movies, and now writes princess stories of her own, from lost kingdoms and stolen crowns to time-travelling sorceresses. These days I'm also a beginner pianist composing original princess songs.

Two fairy tale series, each its own little kingdom. Tap a book to find it.
A girl from 1590 and a modern boy meet in the magical realm of Imperium, where crystals, sorceresses, mermaids and vampires make time itself a fairy tale.
Amoura, a farmer's daughter in 1590, follows her mother's mystery into Imperium and meets Spero, a boy from the 21st century. A sorceress sends them after the shards of an enchanted crystal that could awaken her mother and restore the balance of magic in both worlds.
Eight years later, Melanie stumbles into Imperium and is struck by a vampire's curse. Her only hope is the sea kingdom and a merman prince, while her brother Spero journeys through time to set her free. Can be read as a standalone.
Three royal adventures about three very different young women who grew up together in a magical castle in the kingdom of Klingland.
Ever since her parents died in the Magic War, Princess Charlotte has been determined to become the perfect queen. But when she's pushed into an alliance with the greedy kingdom of Dorraine, one big risk costs her crown and title.
Lily never asked to be queen of Klingland. Naïve and still learning what a ruler owes her people, she wants to do right, yet no one seems to take her seriously.
After years of chasing men for power, Krystal turns over a new leaf by matchmaking for Lily's brother, and meets her own match when she discovers the girl of his dreams is under an evil stepmother's illegal magic. A Cinderella reimagining.
All three royal adventures in one volume, plus four bonus chapters of brand-new scenes from the regent queen and various love interests.

An original album of princess songs inspired by the older fairy tales, given darker, more melancholic moods than the Disney versions. Lisa recorded it as a beginning pianist, building each song from three layers: right-hand treble, left-hand bass and vocals. The focus is on lyrics that capture the heart of these famous stories.
Find it on SoundCloud with lyric videos on YouTube, and she has also submitted it to Spotify and other streaming sites.
Lisa Dawn grew up in New Jersey, where she fell in love with fairy tales and animated movies. She studied screenwriting at Ramapo College in the hopes of writing the next great animated princess movie, then trained at the DAVE School in Florida and moved to Los Angeles to work on 3D movies as a rotoscope artist.
Today she lives in Texas with her husband, reviews all forms of princess media on The Princess Blog, and composes original princess songs on the piano.
